visita - the executioner and ....

Do you remember? Piazza Statuto is the heart of black magic in Turin.
Why? Because it stands in the West where the sun sets, because in Roman Times it was a necropolis (vallis occisorum ), because it was the centre of the cloaca, because it was the door to the hell, because it was the place of the gallows and because it was the area where the executioners lived ...and the executioners were wealthy, frightening and influential people once.
Yes, in Via Bonelli, the executioner of Turin lived - and walked around wearing black suits  and carrying a bag with his tools. He exhibited a sort of price list: every torture and death had its price! In Via Barbaroux, in the Church Della Misericordia there is still the document with the names of people executed, their black hoods,  the little glass (bicchierino) for the last drink and a crucified Christ: here the convict was blessed  and then buried.
And there is story about the hangmen ...

Visita- The detective of Mysteries in Turin

Per la Versione Italiana
The history of Turin's origin is so intriguing that also the famous archeologist Martin Mystere and his friends try to understand the secrets hidden in the esoteric town. Positive and evil forces will fight in the attempt to  understand the meaning of hermetic letters, to follow clues collected from witnesses and during surveys in vaults and caves leading to  hell. What is the link between Turin and the Egyptian Pyramids, explored only by bold archeologists and unscrupulous figures? In the centre of this mystery is a church: the Gran Mother.  The title of the adventure? Nea
Heliopolis

Visita- the temple of the cinema

 Per la Versione Italiana
The MOLOCH
The  Mole Antonelliana also hosts  The National Cinema Museum  which  is unique in the world  as it offers objects which made  the history of photography, artifacts of the  pre-cinema era and  a panoramic view of the technical, scientific and artistic paths that led to the birth of cinema together with different scientific and educational activities. The idea for the National Cinema Museum was conceived in 1941 when Maria Adriana Prolo planned the creation of a space totally dedicated to the documentation of Torino’s film industry. First opened in Palazzo Chiablese, a wing of the Royal Palace, was closed in 1985 for safety reasons,  and riopened in 2000 inside the Mole Antonelliana, The  Swiss set designer François Confino who has arranged the various halls said that the  museum  is  “[...] a temple of cinema in a place of exceptional architectural caliber, a conspiratorial and inviting tribute to the Mole Antonelliana."
http://museonazionalecinema.blogspot.it/
Museum of the Cinema - inside

Visita- Palazzo Madama

Per la Versione Italiana

Palazzo Madama
Where is the beating heart of Turin? It is in the centre of Piazza Castello, where Palazzo Madama stands in the middle of the square. It  is on the site of the antique gateway to the Roman castrum  ( 1st century BC,)  the Porta Decumana. It was a fortress, a castle and finally the official residence of two duchesses from the house of Savoy, regents for their sons. The palace started being named Palazzo Madama  in the 19th century:  in May 1848, the opening session of the Senate of the Kingdom of Sardinia approved the Savoy dynasty's intention to proceed with the unification of Italy. Inside Palazzo Madama today there is  Museo d'Arte Antica (Museum of Antique Art), over  70,000 works  from the medieval period to the Baroque. There are paintings, sculpture, illuminated manuscripts, majolica and porcelain, gold and silverware, furnishings and fabrics and among the masterpieces there are a manuscript written by Van Eyck and Antonello da Messina's Portrait of a Man in the Treasure Tower.

Visita - The Balon in Turin

Per la Versione Italiana
“It is such a mess of things and junks that anyone who would attempt an inventory would get mad”
(Edmondo De Amicis, from Hopes and Glories. The Three Capitals, 1911)

Poster of Gran Balon
The Balôn market is a famous flea market in Turin near the other market called Porta Palazzo.  The name probably comes from the first air balloon that took off from this neighbourhood in the 18th century. Other sources state that the name instead dates back to an old designation of the area during the French siege, Faubourg de Balon because people met there to play. Every Saturday morning the Balon attracts a crowd of browsers, collectors, and tourists who walk around the most diverse objects. On the second Sunday of the month is the Gran Balôn’s turn: from toys to antique furniture, from lace to collector’s items, a variety of options that make this market an attraction for people coming from all over Italy

(Edmondo De Amicis, from Speranze e glorie.

Lucifer

What about Black Magic in Turin? Lucifer fell down from the Heaven because of his vanity. In Turin Lucifer is represented in a monument in Piazza Statuto . The square is the westerly point of Roman Turin. In the centre there is the angel topped monument , a heap of scattered rocks with white figures which celebrates the workers who built the Frejus tunnel through the Alps. For people in Turin its meaning is deeper: it is the ‘black heart’ of the city.

The gloomy reputation of the square dates back to the Romans who believed that the west, where the sun sets, was the meeting point of light and dark, good and evil. So they chose this spot, the vallis occisorum, as a place for executions and to bury their dead. The remains of their cemetery lie deep beneath your feet.

The metaphysical painter Giorgio de Chirico came to Turin in a period in which he felt Nietzsche’s philosophy influence, and he described the city as the town that has “…a ghostly and metaphysical aspect that only a few individuals can see in moments of clairvoyance and metaphysical abstraction.”

Statue in Piazza Statuto

Visita- Egyptian Turin !?

Per la Versione Italiana

Turin is a point on an international triangle of white magic - the other points being Prague and Lyon – and of black magic – with San Francisco and London. This is due to its position on the river Po (masculine side ) and its affluent Dora (feminine side) which supplies the city with contrasting energies. These forces make of Turin a mystical place, haunted by spirits, ghosts and by the supernatural forces they evoke.

DOWNLOAD diCARTA ebook FROM HERE

Turin was probably founded by the Egyptians: the Egyptian Prince Eridano, after leaving his mother land for religious reasons, would land in the North of Italy and then would reach a large plain near a river similar to the Nile where he  founded Turin. It all happened in the 15th century. The Romans only came in the 2nd century a. C. under the emperor Caesar Ottaviano Augustus who named the settlement Augusta Taurinorum.

Pheaton could also be Apollo's son in Greek mithology. He asked his father to drive the Sun cart and thus show his divine origins. But he went to near the Sun and Zeus killed him with a lightening to prevent dangers on  Earth.  The cart fell into the river Eridano, or "iw ra dani, river sacred to Ra, the Egiptian God of the Sun.

So, Earth and Water, feminine and masculine elements coexist and dominate the events in the city.
